Define Source Accounts by List or Range
Defining accounts to be allocated one-by-one can be tedious and error-prone in Dynamics GP. Advanced Allocations allows you to easily define lists or ranges of accounts to be allocated. Now, allocating large numbers of accounts—or even whole departments—is simple and straightforward.

Leave Original Accounts Intact with "Offsets"
Instead of allocating amounts directly out of regular posting accounts, you can instead specify "offset" accounts. The allocation impact is the same, but the accounts that originally held balances remain intact for audit purpose. Allocation entries are neatly segregated. 

Process Tiered Allocations
Allocations can be "tiered" so that in an allocation run, subsequent allocations can take into account the amounts allocated in prior ones.

Allocate Transactions
Optionally, transactions can be allocated instead of account balances. When allocating transactions, more details are sent to the target account entries. For example, vendor name, invoice date, invoice number, transaction description. Allocating transactions results in larger allocation batches, but provide a much more complete audit trail.

Target Account Masking
If you allocate from accounts to the same accounts in a different cost center or department, this feature is a real time saver and will greatly reduce the number of allocations that need to be set up.

Run Trial Allocations
Advanced Allocations allows you to see the results of allocations prior to their being posted to the General Ledger. Once you are comfortable with the calculated allocation amounts, you may post them the General Ledger.
